University of London Taster Courses are short courses (1 day or less usually) at any of the participating universities in and around London.
Taster courses are designed for school students, usually in year 12, to get an insight into studying a particular subject or subject area at university.

Courses are beginning to be uploaded now and most run between Feb. and June. They are free to attend and usually there is no application process, you just need to sign yourself up.
The most popular courses can go fast, so the best thing to do is to visit their website page regularly and search for courses of interest to you. You can also "sign up for updates" by registering your details, click here to link directly , that way you'll get notifications when relevant subjects become available.

Being able to say in your UCAS personal statement that you have attended such events shows you are serious about studying such courses and can lead to discounted offers from the university that ran the taster.
Whether or not you go to university is a really big decision, so it's best to make a fully informed choice. Even if you currently feel it's unlikey that you will want to go to university, I'd still strongly recommend you go to at least one taster event, just to be sure you know what you are passing up.
